RECEIVER and
free-floating BARREL is made by cold
hammer method. The receiver is attached
to the stock by three fastening screws.
Receiver and barrel are in a phosphatised finish. Phosphatised model is 200 g (7 oz)
heavier. Three locking lugs create a 60°
bolt lift angle. The bolt is matte
black. Phosphatised barrel is equipped
with groove for emergency sight assembling.
Optional detachable muzzle brake can be fitted, which also acts as an
efficient flash-hider.
The TWO-STAGE TRIGGER has an adjustable pull from 1.0 to 2.5 kgs (2 to
5 lbs). Trigger is also adjustable in
length and horizontal or vertical pitch.
The entire trigger assembly, including the trigger guard, can be removed
from the rifle without disassembling any other part of the rifle.
The SAFETY catch, which is silent in operation, is located inside the
trigger guard. The safety locks the
trigger and bolt in a closed position with the firing pin blocked.
The STOCK is made of aluminium, to which GREEN polyurethane is
attached. Spacers allow the cheek piece
to be fully adjustable in height and infinitely adjustable in windage and
pitch.
The BUTTPLATE is adjustable for distance and angle, through the use of
spacers and is also infinitely adjustable in height and pitch. The stock is designed for both right and left
handed shooters.
SAKO
TRG 42 GREEN is supplied without SIGHTS.
A 17 mm integral dovetail is on the top of the receiver. Receiver is also drilled and tapped for
Picatinny rail mounting.
Optional accessories are
also available: foldable bipod, auxiliary steel peep sights for emergency use,
match sight mounting set, different slings and swivels, etc.
