Anschütz Results

SK Match 50 verses Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS.

Test rifle Anschütz 2013/690.

Tested on a 50-metre range, not windy that day with the rifle secured to a test rig.

The barrel was cleaned prior to starting for each type of ammunition, and not cleaned between groups.

Fifty rounds of each type of ammunition used.

Five groups, moving from left to right, of ten rounds each.

Group sizes relative to coin sizes

SK Match 50; 1st Group five-cent piece, 2nd ten-cent piece,3rd, 4th & 5th 5-cent piece.

Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS; 1st Group five-cent piece,2nd twenty-cent piece, 3rd, 4th & 5th 5-cent piece.

SK Match 50 shot an average of 14.1mm diameter groups.

Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS shot an average of 14.8mm diameter groups.

There is not much in it between the SK and Eley brands.  If you shot from the shoulder the groups would be smaller yet again.

The Anschütz & SK Match 50 combination seems to be the winner, only marginally, in grouping; but significantly in price.
